About Me
Hi, I’m Luan!
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (ICMC) of the University of São Paulo (USP), in São Carlos, Brazil, under the supervision of Prof. Fabrício Simeoni de Sousa.
Previously, I was a CIMES postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University, working with the FV3 team at the NOAA Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, under the supervision of Dr. Lucas Harris and Dr. Joseph Mouallem.
I hold a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics (IME) at USP, where I worked under the supervision of Prof. Pedro da Silva Peixoto.

Research Interests
Development and analysis of numerical methods for PDEs and their efficient implementation in parallel computing.
Finite volume methods and computational grids for geophysical flows, including cubed-sphere, spherical Voronoi, and locally refined meshes, with applications in atmospheric modeling.
